The client wanted a distinctly modern architectural style, simple yet elegant without any frills to meet their budget requirements. A soaring roof became a major element in the overall design with the pool framing the courtyard garden at the rear of the house. Built for a family of 5 the house was designed with a pool and courtyard garden.

The roof was designed to cut-off the evening sun and high level glass were incorporated to compensate for the loss of sunlight into the rooms. This created a roof that seemed to hover above the house.
