MJ Kanny Architect is a boutique sized practice that are known for its Award-Winning Bungalow designs that are green, sustainable and relevant in the tropics. We were ranked by Top 10 Malaysia in 2018 for our innovative and fresh approach to designing residential projects that pushes the boundaries on the contemporary house typology and its interdependency on its environment, often taking the cue of design from mother nature itself.
MJ Kanny Architect has over the years earned awards and recognition for constructing breathtaking houses and bungalows especially in Malaysia and are ranked among the few architects in Malaysia that are dedicated in creating houses that are specifically curated and best suited for the tropical climate and context of the Asia Pacific region.
We believe in providing sustainable development designs, by constantly reinterpreting traditional design boundaries, which holds the “Malaysian Identity” in every aspect of the Design.
All our work can be categorized as Green Architecture in Malaysia, as the design approach is always from a sustainable perspective. We believe that passive green approach is always better than design first and then provide active green features to make a project sustainable.

Our design emphasis is to provide solutions for bungalows and houses, apartment buildings by blending various elements of interior and exterior spaces with great emphasis on nature and the use of affordable, local and natural materials and craftsmanship.
Also, our constant search and experimentation with architecture with a local identity has resulted in progressive design ideas that are both functional and innovative which has bagged us many awards in last 26 years of experience in construction and property development industry.
