Setia Tropika House

Theis is an extension and retro-fit of on an existing English-cottage style single storey home located in Setia Alam. The client requested for 2-storey extension consisting of new living, entertainment bedroom and study at the 1st floor. The new extension need to seamlessly connect with the existing building where the main living, kitchen and dining was located together with the master bedroom and guest room.

We decided to create a Koi-pond at the existing courtyard to create a focal point and visual connection between the old house and the new.

The developer requested that the new extension must follow the existing “English Cottage Style”. We however proposed a mid-country style that combined the English style with contemporary sensibilities with a tropical touch.
